Google Ban Hammer?

Here are few of the things we are doing……

1) Create new google acc with new credit card or debit card with new address. Most ppl can just use their mates comp and internet to create the account.

2) Try Facebook and Myspace advertising. Can make decent profit from them, just need to learn the game.

3) Try MSN and Yahoo. They seem to be strict on keywords though and adcopies. Everything has to go through editorial process. Traffic is much lower but converts well.

4) Try and SEO the keywords that was converting (only problem is that it takes too much time and google can fuck you up for this as well)

5) Try blog and twitter advertising with peeps from reviewme or payperpost

6) Try media buys (if you have the capital). It surely makes a lot of money as there are all these get ripped and teeth whitening ads all over the place

7) Try banner advertising with agencies etc

8) Chitika is good as well and you can get 10 cents clicks for targeted traffic

9) Send offers to your list.

Peace up

PPC is a numbers game!

Pay Per Click or PPC is a numbers game. The more campaigns you start up the better the chances you are going to make money from one of the campaigns.

The other part which is a numbers game is the number of clicks you get. If you have the right keywords and more clicks you get the more conversions you will get and banking more money.

Take this advice and you will win, I got this too late in my Internet Marketing Career otherwise I would have banked so much more money online.

Christmas Period and Drop in CPA Conversions?

Ok this is starting to piss me off (kinda). As most people would have read that I lost 50K but the good news is that I was able to recover almost the full amount now I need just wait to be paid as the problem is that with alot of times there are high % returns during xmas and this could set me back few k’s.

Generally I find 15-25% return rate but during xmas it goes up to around 35% and this can stuff up things alot.

In any case I m seeing a lower conversion rate on general things like, dating has dropped off for me, teeth whitening (don’t even go there), Diet offers have also taken a plunge, Home Biz conversions are all over the place.

I not complaining about this but is it just me or is there a general drop in conversion with these things around Christmas period. I know this much a lot of offers tend to pick up around Jan-Feb but I am kinda breaking even in most campaigns now ( in past 2 weeks) except with merchandise like electronics, shoes, ipods, lingerie etc which have picked up in last 2 weeks.

Any thoughts on this?

One of the Best Ecommerce Sites

While doing some research on some “proper” muscle building supplements and fat burners online I stumbled upon BodyBuilding.com. When I got onto the site I had my “normal internet consumer hat on” (by this I mean I wasn’t researching for my sites or projects but as a normal searcher and buyer). (continue your reading )

How I lost $50K in 5 days

hey guys you can learn from my mistakes.

So 2 weeks ago I set up this campaign for Christmas offers and it should have gone live 2 days ago. (While I have done this before for last Xmas and it worked really well.)

So I got few thousand high volume keywords in a lot of niches and had $10,000 budget altogether for all the campaigns. ( I took lot a loan for this lol)

Anyhow I had a game plan which always works and would have worked this time as well if I didn’t make the biggest mistake. I forgot to set the right date for the campaigns to begin. Now this started on the day of creating the campaign and I didnt take note of it til a week ago. By this time my account had used up $50,000 all up and we barely made any commission from it around that period.

Positive side : We are seeing some conversions now but can’t track the keywords etc. I will know much we have recovered in the few weeks though and will update here as we see more conversions. BTW all the campaigns are linked to one network.

Best methods for driving Traffic for Media Sites

So lately I have been working closely with a News Media site which is just about to launch in 2 weeks.

I have been contracted to work with their marketing team so we can drive massive amounts of traffic to their website during the launch period and there after.

Because they are trying to build a “proper brand” it is my job to keep the marketing of the site as “white hat” as possible.

I have been doing research for the past 3 weeks on how the most successful media websites drive traffic to their stories and site.

So how do they drive their traffic?

- Type in traffic
- Google news
- RSS feeds
- Favorites
- Google type in traffic
- Twitter
- Email News letters
- Digg
- Mixx
- Reddit
- Other social bookmarking sites
- Link backs from authority blogs
- Google ad words
- Yahoo SEM
- Widgets
- Mobile

The new thing which seems to work really well is the twitter effect. If there is breaking news the media websites link their stories from their twitter account and this would drive a lot of traffic to that specific article.

The next thing which works well is the Google news. This has been around for a while and it drives up to 40% of traffic for some websites.

The other good idea is to link your top stories from Google ad words which a small budget. $100 could drive up to 2000 unique visitors to your site. In return you would hope they browse other stories and sign up as members etc.

Widgets have been gaining a lot of momentum as well in the past year. Building a widget with the RSS feeds in showing the top story definitely works. It will require the right audience for it though or you will need to market it to your audience in the right way.

Social book marking effect is another awesome way to get drive large amounts of traffic to media sites. If you have the right content which is “News” or technology related this could bring in a lot of long term traffic.

I will update this article as I learn more from my experience. I am also working design structures for the sites to see which keeps the users for longer and what kind of things they click on after reading a story.
